📖 “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
— Matthew 5:44 (NIV)
🟡 What does this mean?
Jesus teaches us that true love is not only for those who treat us well, but also for those who have hurt us or whom we do not like.
This is difficult, but with God's help, we can love and pray even for those who hurt us.
When we do this, we show that we are children of God and that we follow Jesus' example.
🧠 Let's think for a moment
Has anyone ever said something mean to you or treated you badly?
The first reaction is to get angry or walk away, but Jesus invites us to respond with love and prayer.
That does not mean approving of the bad, but deciding that resentment will have no place in our hearts.
🙌 What can we do today?
Pray for the people who have hurt us
Do not respond with insults or revenge
Try to be kind, even to those who do not treat us well
Remember that God loves everyone, even those who make mistakes
💬 Phrase to remember
👉 God's love helps me forgive and pray for everyone.
🙏 Closing prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for teaching me to love as You love.
Help me forgive and pray for those who have hurt me.
I want to show Your love even in difficult situations
and live with a clean heart full of peace.
Amen. 🙏
