Tip: read the verse out loud and say a short prayer together as a family.

📖 “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

— Romans 12:12 (NIV)

🟡 What does this mean?

This verse teaches us three important things to live close to God:

1 Rejoice in hope Be patient in difficulties: Trust that God is with us even in hard times.

3 Persist in prayer: Talk to God every day, no matter what happens.

It’s like a map that guides us to have a firm and happy heart in Jesus.

🧠 Let’s think for a moment

Have you ever eagerly awaited a special date, like your birthday?

Hope in God is like that: we know something good is coming, even if we don’t see it yet.

And while we wait, we pray and trust, because God always keeps His promises.

🙌 What can we do today?

Thank God for the hope we have in Him

Be patient when things don’t go as we want

Talk to God every day, telling Him how we feel

Encouraging others to trust and hope in God

💬 Phrase to remember

👉 My joy is in the hope I have in God.

🙏 Closing prayer

Lord, thank you for giving me hope and for always fulfilling your promises.

Help me to be patient in difficult times

and to never stop talking to you every day.

I want to live trusting in your love and your perfect plan for me.

Amen. 🙏
