Samuel listens to God: Bible class for children
Samuel learned to recognize the voice of God and responded with a heart willing to listen and obey.
View classWe all need to change at some point. Sometimes children make mistakes, get angry, shout, lie, or treat others badly. But the good news is that God does not look at us only by our mistakes. He sees what we can become with His help.
In this Bible class, children will learn the story of Jacob, a man who had mistakes, fears, and struggles, but who was transformed by God. His name was changed fromJacobtoIsrael, showing that God can also change our identity, our character, and our heart.
Jacob was a man who often acted wrongly. He deceived his brother, was afraid, and ran away. However, there came a very important moment in his life: he wrestled with God and did not give up.
After that encounter, God said to him:
“Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel.”
Jacob would no longer be remembered only for his past. God was doing something new in him. This story teaches us that God can change our life when we come to Him with a willing heart.
To teach children thatGod can change our heart, helping us to leave behind wrong attitudes and live in a way that pleases Him.
It also aims for each child to recognize areas in their life where they need to improve, such as speaking respectfully, telling the truth, being generous, forgiving, and treating others well.
Do not fear, for I am with you. This verse reminds children that they are not alone in the process of change. God is with them, loves them, and helps them grow.
Lord, thank You because You love us and do not reject us for our mistakes.
Today we ask You to change what is not right in our hearts.
Help us to be better children, better friends, and better people.
Teach us to tell the truth, to obey, to share, and to treat others with love.
We want to be more like You every day.
Amen.
God does not only see what we are… He sees what we can become.
