Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.
🟡 What does this mean?
Jesus shows us that He wants to be very close to us, like a friend who comes to visit. But He does not force the entrance; instead, He gently knocks on the door of our heart. Only if we open it, He enters and shares His love and friendship with us.
🧠 Let's think for a moment
Has anyone ever knocked on your door and you didn’t open it? That person couldn’t come in. In the same way, Jesus knocks on the door of your life every day: when you hear His Word, when you pray, or when someone talks to you about Him. The question is: do you want to open the door for Him?
🙌 What can we do today?
Decide to invite Jesus to be part of our life.
Pray and talk to Him as you would with your best friend.
Don’t let other things (games, anger, distractions) keep you from hearing His voice.
Remember that Jesus is always willing to come in if we say: “Lord, I open my heart to You.”
