Sometimes we explode with anger... but does God also do it?

Publication date: March 4, 2026

loveprayerforgivenessdevotional

But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

🟡 What does this mean?

This verse reminds us of what God's heart is like. He does not get angry quickly, He is always willing to forgive us, and He shows us a love full of truth and mercy. Sometimes people fail, but God never stops loving us or treating us with patience.

🧠 Let's think for a moment

Has anyone ever forgiven you when you made a mistake? That is how God is with us, but much greater. He knows we are not perfect and gives us new opportunities every day because His love never ends.

🙌 What can we do today?

Today we can learn to be like God:

Be patient with others.

Forgive instead of getting angry.

Show love and always speak the truth.

💬 Phrase to remember

“God loves me with patience and mercy, and I can love like that too.”

🙏 Final prayer

Lord, thank you because your love is patient and always full of truth. Help me to be like You: not to get angry quickly, to forgive, and to show mercy to others. Amen.
