“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”
💛 What does this mean?
This verse teaches us that God does not want us to live in fear.
He gave us three very important gifts:
Power: strength to do what is right.
Love: a heart that cares for and helps others.
Self-control: the ability to control our emotions and decisions.
God wants us to walk confidently because He is with us.
🤔 Let's think for a moment
Have you ever felt nervous, afraid, or unsure of what to do?
It happens to all of us, even adults.
But this verse reminds us that fear does not come from God.
What comes from Him is bravery, love, and control to face any situation.
🌈 What can we do today?
If something scares you, breathe and remember: “God is with me.”
Tell Jesus what worries you. He listens to you.
Do an act of bravery: greet someone, share something, help a friend.
Practice self-control: think before acting or speaking.
Jesus gives you what you need to move forward.
🧠 Phrase to remember
God made me brave, gave me love, and gave me self-control.
🙏 Final prayer
Lord Jesus,
thank you for giving me bravery, love, and self-control.
Help me not to be afraid, to trust in you, and to do things with your strength.
Fill my heart with peace and teach me to use the gifts you give me.
Amen.
