AtLittle Ones of the Kingdomwe have prepared“Children of Light: Shine with Jesus Every Day”, a fun printable Bible board game designed for children to learn Christian values while playing and sharing special moments.
Through a colorful board, faith challenges, and cut-out pieces, the little ones will discover that following Jesus also means showing His love in the small actions of each day.
This game is inspired by the words of Jesus:
“You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14
Jesus teaches us that our life can be a light to others. Just as a lamp lights up a dark place, our good deeds can bring joy, hope, and love to those around us.
Children can reflect that light when they tell the truth, pray for their friends, help someone in need, or give thanks to God.
The central message of this resource is simple:we don’t need to do huge things to reflect Jesus’ love. We can start with small acts of kindness every day.
As they move along the path on the board, children will be able to:
Understand that Jesus calls us to be lightremembering the teaching of Matthew 5:14.
Practice Christian valuessuch as honesty, kindness, gratitude, and solidarity.
Develop coexistenceby respecting turns, following rules, and collaborating with other players.
Relate faith to daily lifediscovering simple ways to share the love of Jesus.
This free resource contains2 printable pageswith an illustrated board and pieces to prepare the game.
The board features a beautiful journey full of colors, nature, child characters, and an illustration of Jesus waiting near the finish line.
Players start on theSTARTsquare and move forward with a die following the path until they reach theFINISH.
During the journey, you will find special squares with challenges that invite you to put Christian teachings into practice.
The goal is to reach the finish line while remembering that every small step can be an opportunity to shine with Jesus.
One of the most special parts of the game are its10 light challenges, which combine actions, reflection, prayer, and movement on the board.
These are the included challenges:
Square 4:Say a truth.
Square 7:Pray for a friend.
Square 10:Mention a way to help.
Square 14:Move forward 2 spaces.
Square 18:Move back 1 space.
Square 22:Say: “Jesus is my light.”
Square 26:Make a happy face and encourage everyone.
Square 30:Share a good deed.
Square 33:Help another player: both move forward 1 space.
Square 35:Give thanks to God.
These challenges make the activity more than just a game of moving forward on squares. Each challenge offers an opportunity to talk about Jesus' love and how we can show it.
For example, when a child reaches the square that says “Mention a way to help,” they can think of a simple action they could do at home or at school.
The material also includes6 black and white illustrated tokens, ready for children to color and personalize.
The available figures are:
☀️ Sun
🏮 Lamp
📖 Bible
⭐ Star
💗 Heart
👑 Crown
Each child can choose their favorite figure and color it before starting to play.
This part of the resource allows combining creativity, fun, and participation.
In addition to coloring, children will be able to prepare their own tokens to use on the board.
The second page contains the figures and their respective cut-out bases, along with instructions to assemble them:
Color the tokens.
Cut them out following the dotted line.
Cut and fold the bases.
Glue or assemble each token onto its base.
Once prepared, the tokens can be placed on the board to start the game.
Younger children can do this part with the help of an adult, especially when using scissors.
The dynamics are simple and designed for2 to 4 players.
Download the PDF for free and print its two pages: the game board and the sheet of cut-out tokens.
Invite the children to color the figures, cut them out, and assemble their bases following the instructions in the material.
Each participant should choose a token.
You will need a die to move along the path and the tokens you just prepared.
Place the tokens at the START. Taking turns, the participants roll the die and move along the squares.
When a player lands on a special square, they must perform the indicated challenge.
Take advantage of these moments to listen to their answers, encourage them, and remind them that they can reflect Jesus' love.
The first player to reach the FINISH will be the winner.
At the end, you can remember together the good deeds mentioned during the game and thank Jesus for teaching them to be light.
After playing, spend a few minutes talking about what they learned.
What do you think Jesus meant when He said we are the light of the world?
How can you be a light to your classmates at school?
Why is it important to tell the truth, even when it is difficult?
What could you do to help someone who is sad?
How can we show Jesus' love in our family?
What was your favorite challenge in the game and why?
Don't look for perfect answers. The most important thing is that the children can express themselves, reflect, and discover how to apply the biblical teaching.
The challenge is to keep shining even after the game is over.
Encourage each child to choose a good deed inspired by the board challenges to carry out during the week.
It can be helping at home, telling the truth, praying for a friend, encouraging someone, or giving thanks to God.
Then, they can talk about how they felt doing that action and why it was important.
This way, the little ones will understand that being light is not only about knowing Jesus' teachings but also about living them with love.
I am a little light that shines with the love of Jesus.
You can repeat this phrase with the children at the end of the game to reinforce its main message.
