Jesus reminds us that death is not the end and that, in Him, we have hope of resurrection, eternal life, and a future reunion with those we love.
Read answerWhen you don't know what decision to make, Jesus can guide you with His Word. Learn to pray, ask for wisdom, and trust in God.
There are moments when our hearts fill with questions. What should I do? Which is the right path? What if I make a mistake? Sometimes, even the smallest decisions can seem difficult when we feel fear, insecurity, or confusion.
Perhaps you have had to choose between telling the truth or hiding something out of fear of the consequences. Maybe you have felt doubts about a friendship, a situation at school, or an important decision for your family. And although you want to do what is right, you don't always know where to start.
But there is a beautiful truth we can remember:we do not have to face our decisions without seeking God's help.Jesus invites us to approach the Father with confidence, and the Bible teaches us that His Word can illuminate our path, even when we do not yet have all the answers.
Yes! We can turn to Jesus when we need direction.
In our video from the seriesQuestions to Jesus, a little girl expresses a concern that many of us have felt: she is afraid of making a mistake and doesn't know which path to choose.
Through a dramatized conversation, we discover a teaching based on the Bible:God does not want us to live making decisions without considering His truth, His wisdom, and His teachings.
Following Jesus does not mean we will never have doubts or difficulties. It also does not mean we will receive an immediate answer to every question.
It means we can learn to walk by faith, better understand God's will through the Scriptures, and trust Him as we make responsible decisions.
Sometimes, the direction we need begins with something simple: stopping, praying, and asking ourselves if what we are about to do reflects the love, truth, and obedience that God teaches us.
Many years ago, after freeing the Israelites from Egypt, God led them to Mount Sinai.
There, the people had a solemn encounter with God. Through Moses, the Lord gave them instructions and commandments to teach them how they should live before Him and relate to others.
God taught them to honor their parents, respect life, tell the truth, and live according to His commandments.
The encounter at Sinai was so impressive that the people felt fear. However, those teachings also revealed something important: God was shaping His people and showing them how to live in obedience to Him.
His commandments were not words without purpose; they taught a path of faithfulness, justice, and responsibility.
This story, which we find in Exodus 19 and 20, reminds us that God cares about the way we live and the decisions we make.
Today we can also learn from His Word to distinguish between what is good and what can lead us away from His teachings.
The Bible gives us a beautiful teaching:
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
Imagine you are walking along a dark path. You cannot clearly see the stones, obstacles, or curves ahead.
But someone hands you a lamp.
The light does not necessarily illuminate the entire path to the end. However, it allows you to see where to take your next steps.
This is how we can understand what the Word of God does in our lives.
The Bible helps us recognize the truth, learn to love, obey God, and avoid what can harm us.
When we have to make a decision, biblical teachings can help us reflect:
Am I telling the truth?
Am I treating others with love?
Is my decision good and responsible?
Am I obeying what God teaches?
The Bible is not a map that shows every detail of our future, but it is a light that teaches us to walk according to God's will.
And that light is a precious gift for children, youth, parents, and families.
We can all make mistakes.
Children make mistakes while learning. Parents also face difficult decisions and moments of uncertainty.
But we must not let fear prevent us from seeking what is right.
In James 1:5 we find a wonderful invitation: when we lack wisdom, we can ask God, who gives generously.
Biblical wisdom is not just about knowing many things. It also involves learning to act with prudence, humility, and obedience to God.
When we pray asking for guidance, we should not necessarily expect an audible voice, an extraordinary sign, or an exact and immediate answer.
Many times, seeking God's wisdom involves reading His Word, reflecting, listening to good advice, and learning to be patient.
We may not yet know what will happen tomorrow, but we can seek to do today what is right.
And if we make a mistake, we can acknowledge it, ask for forgiveness when necessary, learn, and seek the Lord's help again.
The teaching of this video can also lead us to develop simple habits in our daily life. Here are some practical applications for children and families.
Talk to God about what worries you.
You don't need to use difficult words. You can tell Him your doubts, your fears, and what you want to do.
Prayer helps us recognize that we need Him and to approach Him with humility.
Spend a few minutes reading God's Word.
You can start with the Gospels to better understand Jesus' teachings.
If you are little, ask your parents to read a Bible story with you and talk about what it means.
Remember: reading the Bible is not just about knowing stories, but about learning to live what God teaches us.
God invites us to ask for wisdom, and we can also learn from people who love us and want what is best for us.
If you have a difficult decision, talk with your parents or a trusted adult who can guide you.
Listening to good advice is not a sign of weakness. It is a way to act with prudence.
Not all decisions have to be made immediately.
Sometimes, when we are angry, sad, or scared, we can act impulsively.
Waiting, reflecting, and seeking more information can help us make a better decision.
Patience is also part of learning to live wisely.
There will be times when someone invites you to do something you know is not right.
Maybe it’s lying, mocking a classmate, hiding a bad action, or participating in something dangerous.
In those moments, remember that following Jesus’ teachings also means having the courage to say no.
Choosing what is right will not always be the easiest, but it is a way to honor God.
Children learn a lot by watching how adults make decisions.
When a parent acknowledges that they need to pray, consult the Bible, or ask for advice, they are teaching their children a valuable lesson: seeking God’s guidance is part of everyday life.
We don’t need to pretend we have all the answers.
We can tell our children that we are also learning to trust God.
A simple family practice is to dedicate a few minutes each week to talk about a decision each person has had to make.
Ask what they learned, what biblical teaching could help them, and how they can act better in a similar situation.
In this way, faith stops being just something we hear and begins to be part of our actions.
When I don't know which path to take, I seek God in prayer and let His Word illuminate my steps.
We can repeat this phrase as a family and remember that God's wisdom is more valuable than acting hastily.
Beloved Jesus:
Thank you because I can come to You when I have doubts and feel afraid of making mistakes.
Sometimes I don't know what decision to make and my heart fills with questions.
Help me to trust in You, to know Your Word better, and to understand Your teachings.
Give me wisdom to choose what is good, courage to say no to what is wrong, and patience to wait when necessary.
Teach me to listen to the good advice of my parents and the people who care for me.
And when I make mistakes, help me to recognize them, learn, and continue growing in my faith.
May Your Word always be a light for my path.
In Your name, Jesus.
Amen.

Perhaps today you are facing a decision that worries you.
Maybe you don't know what to do, you are afraid of making a mistake, or you simply need peace to think clearly.
Remember that you can approach the Lord with your questions.

And when the path seems difficult, remember again the words of the psalmist:
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." — Psalm 119:105
