View resourceThe story of Samson teaches a very important truth for children: true strength does not come only from muscles, nor from what we can do by ourselves. True strength comes from God.
Samson was a man chosen by God even before he was born. God gave him special strength, but Samson began to trust more in himself than in the Lord. Even so, when he recognized his need and prayed to God, the Lord listened to him.
This Bible class helps children understand that God wants us to depend on Him, to ask Him for help, and to remember that even when we fail, we can return to God with a repentant heart.
Samson was chosen by God before he was born. The Lord gave him special strength to fulfill a purpose. However, over time, Samson began to disobey and trust too much in himself.
Delilah deceived him, Samson lost his strength and was captured by his enemies. But at the most difficult moment of his life, Samson prayed to God and said:
“Lord God, remember me now!”
God heard his prayer and showed that true strength always comes from Him.
For children to understand that their strength, security, and help come from God, and that they can pray to Him when they feel weak, sad, or need help.

Verse to memorize:
“Lord God, remember me now!”
Samson was strong on the outside, but he needed to learn to depend on God on the inside.
Samson's strength did not come from himself, but from God. When Samson turned away from obedience and trusted in his own strength, he lost what God had given him. But when he prayed with humility, God listened to him.
This story reminds us that we should not live trusting only in our own abilities. We need God every day: at home, at school, with our friends, and in every decision we make.
I can remember that I should not trust only myself. God wants to help and guide me.
I can ask for help when I need it and remember that God is with me.
I can pray before acting, before making decisions, and when I feel weak.
God listens to children who pray with faith and a sincere heart.

You can also teach this final statement:

Where did Samson's strength come from?
What did Samson do wrong?
What did Samson do when he realized his mistake?
Why is it important to ask God for help?
At what moments do you need to remember that God is your strength?
What does it mean to be strong on the inside?
How can we obey God at home and at school?
Give a pencil to a child and ask them to try to break it carefully. Then show several pencils together and ask:
👉 Is it easier to break one alone or several together?
Explain to the children:
“Samson thought he was strong by himself, but he learned something very important: true strength comes from God. When we are with God, we are not alone.”
Read each sentence and let the children answer if it is true or false:
Samson was born with his own strength.False
God gave him special strength.True
Delilah helped him.False
Samson prayed at the end.True
Ask the children to draw a big, strong heart. Inside the heart, they can write:
“God is my strength.”
Then they can decorate it with colors, drawings, or words such as: prayer, obedience, faith, and help.
Give out a sheet with this sentence:
“When I feel weak, I can ______ to God.”
Suggested answer:
pray
Lord, forgive me when I trust only in myself. Teach me to depend on You every day. Thank You because You always listen to me. Help me to be strong inside and to remember that my strength comes from You. Amen.
🎯It is not my strength that sustains me. It is God who lifts me up when I fall.
